Pei was our neighbour for the last 17 years .  You couldn’t ask for a better neighbour , his passing was an absolute shock , our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife , kids and family .
We will always remember Pei  spending time playing different games  with Emma and Eric in the driveway and going for walks with all of his family .

We will definitely miss seeing Pei out in the yard . Please accept our sincerest condolences.

I am so saddened and deepest condolences on the passing of Pei.  Pei has been a treasured colleague and dear friend, and he will be greatly missed.  My prayer and thoughts are with his family and friends.

I am very saddened to have learned of Pei's passing at what should have been near mid-point of life; much, much too soon!!!

I did get to know Pei when taking on HVDC operations and had both the pleasure and opportunity to discuss and learn about our HVDC matters - really enjoying some time with him at CIGRE.

He had a calm, comfortable and genuine approach which made him endearing and well known to so many of us at Manitoba Hydro!

My deepest condolences - you will truly be missed Pei!

I am so sad to hear about Pei. He and I started at the Centre at almost the same time and I always enjoyed running into him and sharing a laugh, which was easy to do with him! He was such a genuine person and he will be missed.

I was shocked to hear of Pei's passing.  My sympathies to his family.

I worked with Pei on providing transmission for new hydro generation.  He would patiently explain that albeit generating stations may have some flexibilty on how big they are, transmission systems are carefully planned around a single size.  He would be patient, while teaching the transmission limitations to the civil engineer.   Hydro will miss Pei.  I will miss Pei.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Pei’s passing. I am deeply sorry for your loss. 

It was a genuine pleasure and privilege to have worked with Pei in the System Planning Department. Pei educated me in all things HVDC. His knowledge, patience and good cheer were always appreciated. His explanations got me through several public hearings. Pei was a respected colleague and friend. He’ll be deeply missed. 

I was very sad to hear of Pei’s untimely passing. We worked together in System Planning for close to 10 years. As Section Heads, we spent a lot of time interacting as colleagues and friends. Pei was one of the best people I ever had the privilege to work with. My thoughts and sincere sympathy are with Pei’s family.

Although my interactions with Pei were few and far between, he left a lasting impression on me. I will remember Pei for his kind nature and humility as much as for his technical accomplishments. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him. My thoughts and best wishes are with his family, friends and colleagues.

The news of Pei’s sudden departure is still shocking, and this pain remains fresh. 

I was fortunate to have known him for 16 years. Since I met him first at work in 2005, he immediately became a caring friend and a professional colleague. His smiles and kind personality always made you feel you had known him for a long time. 

I cherish the fond memories of his friendship: when discussing work in office, when playing Ping-Pong in the lab at lunch breaks, and during trips.
