Peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with Jesus on November 21, the day before his 93rd birthday.
Dad was born in Elie, Manitoba. He was the oldest of 14 children.
Throughout his life, dad worked several jobs involving farming, mechanics and blacksmithing. Dad’s love for Jesus, nature and music were evident in his everyday life. He wasn’t afraid to let others know about his Lord and Saviour. Dad loved to gather with friends and family to sing and play the harmonica, accordion or guitar.
Dad is lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Katie as well as his children Ken, Catherine, Paul, Janice (Dale), Elaine, Michael (Kathleen) and Robert (Josie). He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeff, Tonja (Tyrus), Carl, Max, Carter (Annika) and Lindsay, and great grandchildren Townes and Arlen.
The wake will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 7:00 pm and the funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 27 at 1:00 pm. Both at Trinity Baptist.
