After a brief illness, Muriel McKenty died peacefully on Friday May 4 2012 surrounded by her family.
Muriel McKenty was the devoted wife of Dr Stewart McKenty. She was pre-deceased by Stewart and son-in-law Larry. She is survived by her loving daughters and their families Ann (John), Elizabeth and Susan (Lex), her grandchildren in Canada Ian (Anya), Alex (Cory) and Stephanie (Nelson), in Australia Nicola (Andrew), Benjamin, Oliver, Tristan (Danielle) and Elizabeth (Mark), her nine great-grandchildren, and her caring extended family Robert (Elizabeth) and their children, Margaret (Liz) and Christopher.
Born in to a Naval family in the UK, Muriel came to Canada after the war with her first husband Bryon Burbridge. She settled in Winnipeg with her family and worked for many years at the Winnipeg Clinic, where she retired as the Personnel Manager.
Following her retirement, she pursued her lifelong interest in travel with her husband Stewart. Muriel enjoyed life to the fullest with a great sense of humour and elegance. She will be remembered for her thoughtful generosity, as well as her pursuit of lively discussions.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Thomson ‘In the Park’, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 9 2012.
