Mary Forsyth

Mary was predeceased by her husband Donald Forsyth of 33 years in 1990, also her parents Sophie and Mike Uranick of Glencairn, and brothers: George, Bill and sister Jean.

Mary will be sadly missed by her family; Steve Uranick, Kaye Snatenchuk and Lori Timms , dearest of friends ; Dennis and Matthew Lind and Denise Gamay, Lynn Stevens, Jane Deller and numerous other family and friends.

Mary was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile (Sphinx Temple #116), Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem (Althea Shrine #2,Bethesda Shrine #12 Minneapolis) and the Independent Order of Foresters. Mary was a teacher for 33 years, most of which at Sisler high school in Winnipeg where she taught French for many years. Mary was an avid reader and at 94 was still reading the newspaper daily and engaging in conversation with everyone she met.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway at 10:30 am. Interment will take place in Newdale, Manitoba.
