He was a devoted husband, father and granddad. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife Patricia, son Stuart (Michele), daughter Sharon (Dan) and his greatest joys in life, his grandsons Colton and Austin. He was pre-deceased by his infant son Marc.
Born in London, England and evacuated during WWII to Devon. Ken worked from a young age as a labourer as they rebuilt their lives. He lived with his family including eight loving sisters. He entered military service as a young man and served in the British Army. He married Patricia in 1962 and with two small children moved to Canada in 1968 to work for INCO Thompson, MB. After a long career he retired to Winnipeg. Ken was grateful to receive the gift of life in 2004 with a transplant.
Ken had a natural, truthful quality, loved a good laugh and was a sentimental man. He had a love for the outdoors, golfing, fishing, hunting, birdwatching and his many collections.
A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Sunday, April 17 at 2 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg.
Many thanks to Dr. Padeanu for his years of care and concern.
Donations may be made in Ken’s memory to The Children’s Wish Foundation.
