Mrs. Josephine (Joyce) Stanis Kozar

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her son Richard; daughter Donna (Franz) and granddaughter Katie; brother Richard (Joy); sister Joan (Hilding); and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was pre¬deceased by her parents Michael and Maria Sumislawski and her husband Elvin.

Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After high school she worked for the federal government and was married in 1960. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children. She absolutely loved her family and friends and spending time with them.

The family would like to thank Tuxedo Villa for making the last few months of her life enjoyable and the members of the palliative care team and RiverView 3 East for all their care and support.

The Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Monday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m., at St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place, with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant presiding.

In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation PO Box 26331 STN Brm B, Toronto ON M7Y 4R1 or Riverview Health Centre Foundation 1 Morley Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9 .

Mom was a wonderful lady with a generous and kind heart and we will miss her very much.
