John Michael Budd

On March 27, 2014, surrounded by loved ones, Mike Budd peacefully passed away in his sleep at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg at age 65.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Tom) and Donna (Drew); grandchildren Danikah, Kaylee, Ethan, William and Madeline; sister, Judy; special friend, Rosie; nieces, Erin and Meghan; nephew, Kenny.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Jessie; his aunt, Rose; his brother-in-law, Brian; brother, Billy; and nephew, Shane.

Dad had a real passion for photography which led him on many Flickr adventures he loved sharing with others. His detail-oriented nature and curiosity about his roots led him to researching genealogy for many years. In earlier days he loved to go dancing and listen to Blues and Jazz music. And he always loved a good laugh at Rumor’s Comedy Club. We will miss his big, toothy grin and bear hugs.

We would like to thank the compassionate staff of Buhler Center, Victoria Hospital and Grace Hospice for the loving care of Dad in his final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buhler Center.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 am at Thomson “In the Park” with a private family interment at a later date.
