I am so sorry about the loss of your mom. your parents meant alot to me. we had such great times, alot of laughs, and i could not wish for a better partner then your dad to work with. your monm was such a warm person and so very friendly. The first time i met your mom, I told your dad, what a great person you are married too, and he said with a smile " I know". The BBQs at your house, the sing alongs at squad parties, the dinner ands dances at the Vasa Lund and then back to your parents for coffee, or what else your father had. It is a very sad day on earth that your mom is gone but a happy time in heaven. Your parents are united and walking hand in hand again. Your mom is in God's hands now. Your father was a good friend and i miss him. Cherish the memories of your parents, they loved you very much and was so proud of both of you, I know, we talked of you guys often. Dear Jim and Keith,
Words can not express how we feel over the loss of your mother. There are so many wonderful memories over the last fifty-five years, so I will just mention the vacations we've had together. The first was Kenora in 1956, just the three of us for one week. Then who could forget Bachawana Bay. Also two weeks in Florida and a great four days in Las Vegas. When your mom and dad moved to B.C. we spent a couple of wonderful weeks there. Then of course there was Frankenmth that we enjoyed so much. And then there were the visits on the farm in Quebec and so many great times in Ontario and Winnipeg. So many times all it took was a word or a look to go into fits of laughter. So many found memories between the four of us. Missing them so much.

I am thinking of you both, Jim and Keith, on this most difficult day.  My fondest memory of Aunt Joan was when Bruce, my brother, was born on my 13th birthday and my parents thought it would be a good idea to have me vacation with your parents in Camp Borden.  Your mom took me to see Gone With The Wind.  We loved it!  We also talked about boys and what that all was about!  Hey, I was 13 and she was the most glamorous and pretty person in my life.  I had to know all her wisdom.  I will think of her fondly and always remember her great sense of humour.  Love Darlene

Our shock at Joan's sudden passing is changing to the sad awareness that we will never again see that big smile or hear that contagious laugh that we were so familiar with for over 50 years. Still, there are so many happy memories to reflect upon.
We will miss the long phone calls updating us on the activities of her beloved "kids".
We had the honour of doing a eulogy for Ed and we regret that we are not able to be there to say "Good-bye" to Joan in person.
We do, however send our love and condolences on this sad day.
