It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Jan Molinski on Sunday, September 16, 2012 with her family by her side at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 68.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 47 years Leonard Molinski, daughter Kimberley (Barry) Kirshenbaum and granddaughter Eryn, and daughter Lynn (Frank) Rowan and granddaughters, Abigail and Mikayla.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Thomas Hetherington and Jean Shumila and her stepfather Paul Shumila. Len and Jan were married in August 1965 and lived in Winnipeg briefly before moving to Pinawa in 1967 where they raised their family, made many friends and created life lasting memories for 35 years. In August 2001 they moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to their family. Mom loved to make things beautiful whether it be her home, her baking, or her flower gardens, she put hard work and love into everything she did. Mom’s greatest pleasure was her family, especially her granddaughters. Mom will always be remembered for her strength and unwavering courage.
In honour of mom’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment was held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, St Boniface Unit 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2A6 or The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
You were always there when we needed you
No task too great or small
With a loving heart and a willing hand
For us you did them all
Thanks for the years you gave us
We only wish when you left us
You know how much we cared
