It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Stewart. On March 1st after a six month battle with Cancer, Dad has left us. At 75 years old, it was too soon for us but, as everyone will know, Dad lived a good life.
Jim is survived by Linda, his best friend and loving wife of 50 years and was a very proud and loving father to his three sons: Jonathon (wife Jodee, children Keenan and Connor), Scott (wife Daryla, children Adam, Nathan and James) and Matthew (wife CJay, children Zachary, Ryan and Lucas). He is also survived by is his loving sisters Donna McNamara, Heather Roberts (husband Bryan) and brother-in-law Brian McNamara, and many nieces and nephews to whom he was a favourite uncle and extended family and countless friends. Jim was a very loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, father-in-law, brother-in-law and friend to all.
Dad was proud of Culligan Water, the family business that he took over from his dad and passed on to his sons. He enjoyed his summers in Kenora, winters in Palm Springs and Australia, and trips with the guys. Whether it was golf with buddies or having a pint with the Rownders, Dad was easily and often recognized by his smile, his great laugh and wonderfully easy going nature.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road, a reception at the church will follow.
