It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother. In her 77th year of life, our mother passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
She leaves to celebrate her life and remember her kind and loving soul - her children, Alice, Signy, Garth and their partners Darren, Diane, and Marcie; her grandchildren whom she loved deeply - Brandon, Ryan, Magnus, Elise, and Avee; and her sister Alice Turton and sister in-law Sandy Reynolds. She was predeceased by her husband Garth Arnason; mother and father, Phyllis and Henry Reynolds; and brother Robert Reynolds.
Growing up, Mom was an excellent athlete, loved her animals, and spent a lot of time with her mother, Phyllis, whom she loved dearly. As an adult, Mom’s deepest joy and fulfillment came from her family and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her home as well as at her cottage in Gimli. She was proudest of being a Mom and raised her children to know that they were what was most important in her life. Being an avid sports fan, she never missed her kids’ sporting activities and continued this tradition with her grandchildren - especially when it came to hockey. Mom loved gardening and being surrounded by her beautiful flowers and yard, with her pets always alongside. Working at Shaw Cable right up until her sudden passing, Mom was also truly blessed with an extraordinary work ethic and a very sharp mind.
Central in Mom’s life was her spiritual beliefs and devotion to God. She will be desperately missed and was loved beyond measure by her children and grandchildren. Life will not be the same without her.
Her family wishes to also express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors on the Acute Cardiac Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital and their efforts to care for and save our Mom’s life. Mom was a beautiful, graceful woman and we all feel blessed to have shared in her life - she was taken from us far too soon. We have faith that she is now looking over us as our guardian angel.
Due to Covid restrictions, a small outdoor funeral service will be held for immediate family with Pastor Michael Kurtz presiding.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate to a charity of choice.
