In loving memory of Greg, husband to Sharon, father to Ashley & Clayton, son to Clarence & Jean, brother to Dale (Stephanie, Seanna) and grandfather to Keenan. Greg was also an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law to many. He will be sorrowfully missed by his furry family Ruby and Duke. Greg passed away Sunday April 10, 2022 after a lengthy illness at the age of 66.
Greg had many interests. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends in Lac du Bonnet and fishing from his dock or ice shack in the “Cove”. He enjoyed playing golf, hockey and curling and his interest in music made his world a bit fuller with new and old friends. To his family, friends and co-workers, Greg will be remembered for his generosity and loyalty. If anything needed to be fixed, built, or modified, Greg would go to the end of “Google” to find the answer - Greg your ingenuity will be missed! He enjoyed his travels but was happiest at home spending time with his friends.
Greg grew up and continued to live in the Earl Grey community. He volunteered with the local community sports organizations, acting in a number of positions as a coach, a volunteer and a supporter. Greg held various positions in his 37 year career with the City of Winnipeg, where he made many lasting friendships.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of both Victoria General Hospital CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Center. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing Palliative Care team of WRHA who supported us so completely in our final months.
"Remember me when I am gone,
But not with sorrow, pain or grief,
Think of me as a turning leaf;
That in the winter falls from its branch,
To be born again in spring,
And live forever in your heart"
