Gilles grew up and lived in St Jean Baptiste but later moved to St-Malo. He met and married his high school sweetheart Cécile, they had two daughters with whom they traveled and camped thru out Western Canada, Manitoba and Northern USA. He worked at Swift Canadian until it's closure eventually working at Versatile Farm Equipment. Again circumstances drove him to work at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. His last place of employment was Canadian Tire which he described as his favorite job. Gilles retired April 2014. He continued to spend his days at Pointe du Bois fishing and boating. You could always locate him in the campground as you would hear his laughter resonate. He loved to party with friends and family around the campfire. You can bet rock and roll music was always playing. He especially enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren the art of fishing and don't forget to "SET THE HOOK". He was a most avid Montréal Canadian fan and could be heard cheering every time they scored.
