On Friday, August 24, 2012 at Riverview Health Centre, Eloise Hunt peacefully passed away.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Brian (Dianna) Hunt, Robert Hunt, daughter Nora (Rick) LaBossiere and daughter-in-law Susan Hunt; grandchildren, Aileen Hunt (George Lamont), Cole, Dan and Anjolene Hunt, Lisa LaBossiere (Dave Tucker), Michael (Christine) LaBossiere; great grandchildren Carson and Ronan Lamont, sister-in-law Margaret (John) Carter and brother-in-law David (Carol) Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Douglas William Hunt, son Patrick Hunt, sister Dolores Edmond, and brothers Robert and Gerald Edmond.
Eloise was born and raised in Winnipeg, attended Riverbend School for Girls, Kelvin High School and University of Manitoba School of Social Work. She enjoyed holidays at Whytewold as a child and Lake of the Woods in later years. She was a member of St. George’s Church, P.E.O. and University Women’s Club. She was a great supporter of the arts and CBC, a voracious reader, traveler, a lifelong learner and enjoyed family singalongs around the piano. She will be known for her intellect and incredible memory. Eloise made many friends wherever she went and will be sadly missed.
A funeral service will be held at St. George’s Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton at 3:00 p.m., Thursday August 30. There will be a reception following the service in the Parish Hall of St. George’s.
