Dorothy was born on November 24, 1919, in Winnipeg. The family moved to Cornwall, England, and upon returning to Canada in 1926, Dorothy received her education at Linwood School. She attended St. James Gospel Chapel, and was employed at McDonald Aircraft and The Canadian Wheat Board. In 1947 Dorothy married Joseph William Heal and moved to the farm in Maryfield, Saskatchewan. Together they raised three daughters. Upon returning to Winnipeg in 1959, the family attended Bethany Baptist Church (later Portage Avenue Baptist Church) and Bethel Baptist Church. Mom enjoyed reading, leading ladies Bible study, visiting the farm and vacations. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her.
Mom walked before God all her life. She will be missed here, but now she can walk freely without pain, she is with her parents, her siblings, her husband, her children and her Saviour. Hallelujah, well done thou good and faithful servant.
