It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Barron on September 8, 2022 at the age of 79 years.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Barron; children Andrew (Tracy) and Philip (Nicole); and his grandchildren David and Sydney.
David and Jennifer were married in Bolton England and immigrated to Canada in 1968 to establish a new life in Winnipeg. David and Jennifer welcomed their son Andrew in 1970 and then Philip in 1976, raising his family in Charleswood and LaSalle (Kingswood).
David attended college to update his degree to a Canadian Engineering Degree. He soon started his own business with Jennifer in 1982, Specialty Process Systems Ltd, and was succeeded in business by Andrew and Philip in 2018. David was a member of the Free Masons with the Masonic Lodge and became a Shriner.
David and Jennifer spent their retirement travelling to different parts of the world and enjoying cruise lines, as well as spending time at their retirement home on Pinawa Bay in Alexander, Manitoba. They spent many winters in their winter home in Palm Spring, CA.
David will be missed by those friends he made at the lake and at their condo complex in Linden Woods.
David had many hobbies, but he especially enjoyed building/renovating, flowers/gardening, and music, playing the accordion, saxophone and piano. He spent a lot of time at the lake with loved ones, on the pontoon boat on the calm summer afternoons and evenings. A noted past time was when David and Jennifer would sit in one of their many spots at the cottage and watch the sun set enjoying a glass of wine.
David had a great sense of humor and he always wanted to make things simple for everyone.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
