Mom grew up all her life in the community of Fort Rouge in Winnipeg, where she and dad had kind neighbors and friends. In her earlier years she spent her time raising us kids. We enjoyed many family outings, including fishing near the town of Lockport, Saskatoon berry picking, playing mini golf, as well, attending our sporting and school events. Mom also had a fun, playful side. She was not shy to join in our back yard BBQ food and water fights.
In her later years she and dad enjoyed gardening and travelling to places such as Las Vegas, Costa Rica, a Cruise to Alaska, Route 66 tour including Graceland, and frequent weekend trips to the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota.
Mom was a huge lover of animals and had many pets over the years, including a rooster named George and many beloved dogs. She would be delighted, for those that wish in lieu of flowers, that a donation be made on behalf of her to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Rest In Peace Mom, We love you
A private family funeral will be held at a later date.
