It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of our wife, mother and grandmother at Fred Douglas Lodge on September 26, 2024 at age 85.
Anita was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Winnipeg in 1957 to live with her sister Barbara and her husband Ted. While attending a church function, she met the love of her life Gerry. They married on August 13, 1960 and welcomed their first son Kerry in December 1962. Their second son Randy followed in January 1964.
Anita and Gerry raised their sons in North Kildonan, and spent many happy times attending family functions, sports events, RC flying events and travelling in Canada and throughout the United States. After retirement, Anita and Gerry spent many years travelling to Wachula, Florida where they made many dear friends.
Anita is survived by her husband Gerry, son Randy, daughter-in-law Brenda (Kerry), granddaughter Lauren (Ken) and great-grandson Logan, along with extended family members. Anita was predeceased by her son Kerry.
Anita's wishes will be respected and there will not be a funeral service. Family members will be remembering her privately.
