January 8, 1989 – February 6, 2016
Tragically, on Saturday, February 6, Adam Watson, the beloved son of Christine Dobbs and Lang Watson of Winnipeg passed away.
He will be sadly missed by his sister Kate (John), his brother Stephen and brother David Dobbs (Tiffani). He was predeceased by his Nana Dobbs and Granny Louise Watson who loved and cherished him. He will be lovingly remembered by his Uncle John and Aunt Edie Watson, Uncle Michael and Aunt Janet Dobbs, Uncle Jack and Aunt Allie, Auntie Janet and Uncle Wally Cawson and his cousins: David Patrick (Sara), Alexandra (Richie), Audrey (Nathan), Karen (Mark), Paul (Kerri), John (Sandra), Eric (Meaghen). Adam has many friends who love him and miss him terribly. He is also missed by his loyal dog TJ, who was his constant companion and who he loved very much.
Adam had a big, beautiful smile and a loving nature. Characterized by his patient attitude and keen eye for organization, Adam was always willing to lend a hand when needed. His outgoing sense of humor and behaviour brought smiles to many faces, always with open arms to anyone who stood next to him.
From a young age Adam liked getting his hands dirty “fixing” whatever he could get his hands on, whether it was required or not. He always liked the outdoors, enjoying camping and fishing, boating on the river and dirt biking, almost always with his good friend Shaun Dankowski. Employed by Mr. Electric as an Apprentice Electrician, Adam took great pride in a job well done. He was well regarded as a hardworking, diligent employee and was well liked and respected by his peers. We are grateful to the staff and ownership of Mr. Electric for reaching out to support our family during this time.
Adam’s passing is a stark reminder of the evil and pernicious nature of opiate addiction. It is a terrible disease with devastating effects in communities across this country and we wish to honour Adams memory by shedding light and awareness, not only on his own pain and struggle, but also the struggle of every person facing this disease.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway.
