Kathleen Doris Peters

Kathleen Doris Peters, 58, of Winnemucca, passed away Thursday May 17, 2012 at her home from complications of cancer. She was born October 24, 1953 in Lynch, Nebraska to Calvin and Clara Keeler. She was married to Kenned Peters for thirty six years. She lived in Rapid City, South Dakota and moved to Nevada in 1987, making her home in Winnemucca in 1991. She graduated from high school at Central High School in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Kathleen was a stay at home mom who enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She was baptized at the Baptist Church in 2009.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Alan Peters; her children, Shelly (Denny) White, Julie (Armando) Alanis, and Kenneth Peters, all from Winnemucca, Nevada and Pamela (Kevin) Rose from Elko, Nevada; grandchildren, Manuel Castillo, Robert Castillo, Dakota Castillo, Catrina White, Armando Alanis, Cynthia Alanis, Diego Alanis, Yazmin Alanis and Brooklyn Rose. She is also survived by her sisters, Darlene Bolton of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Elaine Horst of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mary McDonald of Rapid City, South Dakota and Barbara Anderson of Winnemucca, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Clara Keeler and her brothers Walter King and Irving Audiss.

God saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around her and whispered, "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched her and saw her pass away. Although we love her dearly we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.”

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday May 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Winnemucca. Those wishing to share memories with the family may do so at the memorial site for Kathleen at albertsonfuneralhome.com.
