Vasil "Bill" Baraslievski

Beloved husband of Bosilka Baraslievski for 74 years. Devoted father of Slobodanka (German) Bosev and Mile (Laurie) Baraslievski. Proud Dedo of Nikola (Zorica) Bosev, late Dimche (Cheryl Putt), Kristifor Baraslievski, and Stefan Baraslievski and 5 great-grandchildren; Marko, Adrian, Mila, Lukas and Gabriel. Predeceased by his parents Zivan and Fanka Baraslievski and siblings Aleksandar (Donka) Baraslievski, Milica (Ranko) Simonovski, and Georgi (Dusanka) Baraslievski. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

At the age of 37, Vasil went to work in Australia for 7 years and saved money to be able to bring his family from Macedonia to Canada in 1970. He retired from the University of Windsor as grounds keeper at the age of 65. Vasil loved to garden and was known as the handy-man in the family. Family was very important to him and he was a very dedicated Dedo.

Donations in memory of Vasil may be made to St. Nicholas Macedonian Church.

Visitation will take place at Anderson Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 pm with prayers at 7:30 pm. The funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Nicholas Macedonian Orthodox Church . Guests are welcome to arrive for 12:30 pm. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
