Tom was a kind and thoughtful man.  He was a supporter of small business and as such always had an open door.  He will be missed and I am grateful to have been his tenant for 21 years.  My condolences to the office Team- Bonnie, Carol, Johnathon and his family.

Uncle Tom,

You were a teacher, a mentor, a father figure and a friend. Reading through the memories - I’m reminded how Amanda, Danny and I were all so lucky to have you in our lives. Our summers with you and Janet in Windsor are where some of my favourite childhood memories took place. From the movie nights with your ginormous laser disk collection and games nights where you’d never let us win - to pool days at your parents house playing Marko pollo, our regular trips to Devonshire Mall, the theatres and of course Toys R Us where you’d let us buy whatever we wanted with the money we earned working for you at N&D. I remember you taking us to the office and always putting us to work - from packing chickens in the deli to adding up totals in the accounting office upstairs, you instilled that hard work had rewards and always made us earn the treats you and Janet always so generously spoiled us with. You treated us like your own kids, and we were so blessed to be part of your family. I’ll miss you, and promise to do the same for your boys and share everything you so graciously taught us.

It is beautiful to read all of these family memories about Tom.  He truly had a wonderful influence on the younger generation.  I remember him well when he was in his twenties, talking at my parents' kitchen table about the church choir and events in the Serbian community with my late parents.  Vjecnaja pamjat!



Uncle Tom,

You were always the kindest and most generous person I have ever know. I'm sad that you were taken from us before Jackson had the opportunity to know how great of a man you were. You will be remembered in all the incredible memories of you we will share.

I will never forget our favourite summers in Windsor and the green pager I talked you into letting me buy when I was too young to probobly have one. You taught us what hard work was and if we wanted something we needed to work hard to get it. After hours of bagging chickens in the deli and groceries at the cashiers all summer I could afford that pager I always wanted. 

Thank you for teaching us the values we needed to succeed in life. We love and miss you! May you rest in peace and in God's arms.

Uncle Tom,

I’m so sorry you were taken so soon. You were one of the kindest men I have ever known. There are so many good memories we shared together. Christmas Days at Baba and Dedo’s and our annual Monopoly game at the end of the night, spending weeks at your house during my summers off from school, and one too many trips to Toys R Us. You definitely spoiled the Jov kids as if we were your own. But my most cherished  memories together are the times when you and I would drive around Windsor in “The Jimmy” as you made your rounds and the conversations we would have. You thought me a lot about history and life in general and I truly value all the knowledge you shared with me over the years. I am grateful to have known you and will cherish our memories together for the rest of my life. May you Rest In Peace.
