Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 30, 2015 after a wonderful life. Dear daughter of the late William T. Merryfield and Mary Grace Ashton. Beloved mother of Linda Verbeem (1983)(John, son-in-law), Lesley Wood (Gary), William “Donald” Waddington (Annette). Cherished grandma of Jeffrey (Wilma) and Michael (Suzy) Verbeem, Wendy, Russell Wood (Enza) Kerri Eckert (BJ) Donald, Adam, and Robert Waddington, as well as 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jack Merryfield (2013) (Eleanor) and Bob Merryifield (2015). Ruth was a proud member of Riverside United Church for 65 years as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch number 255. Resting at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Center (1969 Wyandotte Street E. 519-252-5711) from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm – 9pm on Thursday. Complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday April 3rd at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
