Richard Walton Fraser

Passed away peacefully on February 8, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 91. Predeceased by his dear wife Pauline (nee Smith). Cherished father of Gary (Pat) Fraser and Reid (Don) Rivait. Dear Granddad to Christopher (PO1)(Natalia) Fraser of B.C., Derek (Nicolle) Fraser of Rochester Hills, MI, Bonnie Rivait and Corey (Ed) Nelson. Great- Granddad to Andriy, Kennedy, Avery, Fraser, Madelyn and Ashton. Predeceased by his sister Mildred Fellows. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dick was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Atlantic from 1940-1945. He was an active member of the Naval Verterans Association and past president. Donations in memory of Dick may be made to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County - Hospice Village. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E.). A Naval Service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. In accordance with Dick’s wishes cremation will follow and his ashes will be buried at sea. A special thank you from the family of Richard goes to the staff of Hospice Village who cared so deeply for dad.
