Norman Richard Hills

84 years, peacefully on August 24, 2012 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Norman was born on June 7, 1928 to the late George and Louisa Hills. Loving brother to Stan Hills (Joyce). Predeceased by his brothers Raymond (1944) and Leslie (2011). Dearest uncle to Brian Hills (Andrea), Brenda Linton (Hollister), Jennifer Brown (David) and Elaine Bedard (Steven). Also Survived by many great nieces and nephews. Norman was retired from General Motors (Warren, Michigan). He was a U.S.Veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was a long-time member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #143. He was a long-time resident of Chartwell Oak Park (LaSalle). He was an active bowler for many years and a member of the seniors choir at the Centers for Seniors Windsor (Mc Ewan Ave.) Friends may call at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E., on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday August 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Canon Dr. Donald Hull officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
