Nicholas Kawala

Kawala, Nicholas passed peacefully on December 5, 2010 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 51 years to Marion. He will never be forgotten by his children Steven, Cheryl and Greg, Keith and Marissa; his grandchildren Nicholas, Christine, Steven and his great grandchildren Dylan, Valeri, Brianna and Hailey. Nick worked for many years with the Public School Board. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255 where he was a Sgt-at-Arm for Zone A-1 and Branch 255 as well as a member of the Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee. Nick was very proud of the work he did with The Army Cadet 2828. His family will receive visitors at the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home (1969 Wyandotte St. E, Windsor 519-252-5711) on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm where there will be a Royal Canadian Legion Service at 7:30pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, December 8th, 2010 in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10am under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee. In lieu of flowers donations to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255 would be appreciated.
