To the family of Kaye Rockey - please accept my warmest sympathies - I had often thought of Kaye, since finding out, about her health.  I was saddened to read of her loss, just today.  I got to know Kaye, at a mutual writer's group, and was a co-worker of Ed's a long time ago.  You could definitely tell, she had an art of writing, and was a thoughtful person. I met Kaye through poetry. Kaye's book,"In a Blue House"
is inspiring! Her generous and creative spirit shines through
her poems. I'll miss Kaye and find her in her poem,

I too met Kaye some 15 years ago during my first attendance at a poetry writers' group meeting. We have been friends, and writing colleagues, ever since. More importantly though, was Kaye's warmth of spirit, humour and friendship that never waned. I am going to miss you, but not more than your family and closest confidants. I met Kaye and her husband when they lived a couple of doors down from my family in Amherstburg. This has to be in the 60s or 70s. My mother Fran was secretary at the the Amherstburg/Anderdon/Maldon United Way office and Kaye would cover my mum's holidays.

 Kaye had, I think, the most infectious laugh I have ever heard. What a bundle of energy! Always on the go-a yoga teacher, a poet, real estate agent. She was interested in astrology so in the 70s I taught her the basics, which she really took to. Maybe she started her newspaper column because of it.

In 2008 I decided to return to Windsor from Toronto but had no place to stay. Kaye offered to rent me her basement in her house on Daytona. Generously, Kaye reduced the rent a bit. 

What I recall is Kaye's kindness to people and her genuine interest in their well-being. 

I am sorry Kaye is no longer in our lives. She had a big presence.

My condolences to the family.     Kaye and I worked together in the early 70's for the Essex County YMCA  out of the Amherstburg office.  
I ran into your mom and dad in Fort Myers, FL about 10 years ago and we had a great lunch and visit.   
She was a very energetic, enthusiastic and caring person and for some reason she had been remembered by me a few times over the last few weeks.   
Your were very fortunate to have both Kaye and Ed in your lives.

I am a fellow Poet and Writer. Kay was a talented poet, writing thought provoking poems about current events and other subjects. She was a great lady and will be sorely missed.

Once touched by a kind heart and gentle soul we are changed forever.
