Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Windsor on February 19, 2018 at the age of 69. Dedicated dad to Shelley McKay (Michael Bodalski) and Kristi “Kiffi” Olson (Shannon Olson) and kick-ass G-Lar to Shannon and Seth Olson and Grampa Larry to Lenin and Ellis McKay-Bodalski. Son to Eileen McKay and brother-in-law Linda McKay, predeceased by father Calvin McKay and brother Blaine McKay. Dad was happily retired from Caesars Windsor, and previously worked at Ford Motor Company and Tamco. He enjoyed golfing with Doug, Paul and Larry F., and hunting with his brother in Muskoka. Dad loved his Detroit Red Wings, driving to Hamilton and Kingsville to see his “grandboys”, his Thursday night crew, and heading to Mexico to enjoy ice cream and watching ladies on the beach. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (519-252-5711). We will celebrate Dad’s life on Saturday, February 24 from 1-4 pm at the RC Legion Branch #143 on Marentette in Windsor. Remarks will be shared by the family at 2:00 pm.
