Gerry leaves behind her much-loved partner in life, Eric, her husband of 63 years. Together they raised four children who will always be grateful for their unwavering teamwork of living by example through love, laughter and integrity. Mom will always be in the hearts of Sandra and Jim Fazackerley, Marc & Jean Sahli, Pamela, Ellen & Ian Murray.
Grandma Gerry's stories will continue to be shared by her beloved grandchildren, Brian Sahli, Nicole & Bobby Seguin, Mary Anne Murray and Andrew Murray, who blessed her with so much love, pride and joy. From heaven she'll be watching over Ruby, her great-granddaughter, who she loved to pieces. Gerry will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her extended family of Elsie Murray, Adrian Scott, Sherry Richmond and Jay & Lillian Woltz.
A favourite song of Gerry's was “The Green, Green Grass of Home”. Our family takes comfort in knowing Gerry was greeted home by those who went before her. Predeceased by her parents Merle & Earl McColman and siblings and in-laws Jim and Lillian McColman, Mary & Mickey McDermott, Danny & Margaret McColman, Elva & Jerry Kostal, Margaret & Brent Tape, Glenn & Lois Sahli.
Gerry took great pride in her vocation as a Registered Nurse. Her compassion and dedication for nursing was not only evident throughout her career, but also in the way she lived and cared for others. To honour Gerry, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or Paulin Memorial Discretionary Fund would be appreciated.
Visitation at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre on Sunday September 13th from 2:00 p.m. till 5:00p.m with funeral service on Monday September 14th at 11:00a.m at the Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church. (3200 Woodland at Norfolk, Windsor, Ontario N9E 1Z5)
“Just think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched … for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.”
