Redmond, Gerald Christopher died August 31, 2014 at the age of 77. Beloved husband to Noreen Slack. Loving father to Kathleen (Marc), Brian (Violet), Norman (Tara) and grandfather of ten wonderful grandchildren. Gerald will be sadly missed by many other family and friends. Gerald had a distinguished 50 year career in the newspaper business. He worked for the Ottawa Journal as a sports reporter, editor and columnist. He ended his career at the Windsor Star after 24 years in the sports and news department. Family and friends are invited to memorial visitation on Friday, September 5th, 2014 beginning at 3pm until time of the memorial service at 5pm in the chapel of the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (519-252-5711). In lieu of flowers donations to the Windsor Essex Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
