To Evelyn's family,
     Please accept my condolences at the loss of your mother. I didn't know her well, but well enough to know that both she and her husband, Walter, were great people. I would have written sooner but I just found out about Evelyn's passing today. I had an intuition that something might have happened and looked it up on line.

Dear Williams and Haddens

As RoseAnn and I share in your loss at this time, it is still remarkable that Evelyn's death occurred with all of her most precious children near, and in a spot at Bondi that is synonymous with joy and laughter over all these years of family summer time together.

Both Evelynn and Walter always had kind words to share with our children as they were growing up. They were a very special couple. We have been honoured to part of your extended family over all these years.

Marv & I were very saddened to hear about Evelyn's passing. I remember her as a kind, gentle, and loving person, loved by everyone who's path she crossed.
I remember all the family gatherings at Dave & Carol's and  enjoyed her conversations and company. I had nothing but respect for her.
She was a wonderful Mom and Grandmother, Friend and will be missed by everyone.
Keep her memories close to your heart and she will be with you forever.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers this week. It has been a real pleasure getting to know Evelyn over the years - from that first summer when we banged pots & pans outside Walter & Evelyn's cabin at Bayview-Wildwood to more recent visits w/ her and Walter at Willistead.  I remember giving a speech about her in one of my college classes - the assignment was "A Person I Admire."  She was a very special lady.

Our hearts go out to you at the end of this day when you all paid tribute to Evelyn.  We are sorry that we were not able to share in that special time with you.  We always enjoyed our visits with Evelyn and Walter, and as we grew to know Evelyn we came to love and appreciate her so very much.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Condolences to all the families.  Evelyn was a wonderful wife to Walter. We always enjoyed her hospitality and visiting them both when we came to Windsor. Jim and Joyce Patten.

We are holding all of you in our thoughts and prayers today, at the celebration of Evelyn's wonderful life. It has been our honour to have been included in her "family" here at the Lake of Bays for 54 summers, and to count each and every one of her family as our friends.  She had such a wonderful visit with everyone on the occasion of Norm's 80th birthday "bash", and told me when she arrived at the cottage "I'm so glad to be here."  Not nearly as glad as we all were to have you here with us, Ev. You will be missed.

What wonderful pictures of her with all her family at the summer cottage that she loved.  Our condolences to her children, especially to Alice, Bryan, Kira & Josh.  We are thinking of you.

I had the pleasure of a visit with Evelyn just recently at Bondi Village. I always enjoyed her company as I felt we had much in common. She was quite a lady. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family on the loss of a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a very special lady, who influenced so many people with her exemplary life. We are sorry that we will not be able to attend the memorial service since we are out of town, but we will be thinking of all of you.

We think you will agree that Evelyn touched many lives, including ours.  She is a legend within herself and chose her final chapter at a place very near to her soul.  It's never easy to lose a loved one, but if you reach into your memories, like we are, you should know that each time you think of her, her spirit will be with you.

Last Sat. In Dwight, we learned that Evelyn Was at her favorite spot in Muskoka.  Our condolences to her family at the end of the amazing journey she experienced over 94 years.

Dear Williams and Hadden families,

I'm Pat's neighbour and I've enjoyed several visits to Bondi with Pat over the past few years.  It was always a pleasure to share in the Williams' family pot-luck party.  This is where I met Evelyn.  She was memorable - so pleasant and very lively.  I would congratulate her for her strength and a life well-lived!  I am sorry for your loss.
