Love you dad. I will miss you. Give mom a big hug for me.

Let this lit candle represent the light, warmth and glow that my father bestowed to me each and every day of his life. My anguish and sorrow is overwhelming right now but I take solace of my dad being a light or better yet a bigger light, a beacon shining down on me to get me through these truly dark days of sorrow. R.I.P. my little light of mine.

Charles Durocher was my father and best friend. He was a humble, proud and hard-working man that loved his family and agonized over the passing of his wife June from Lung Cancer in 1989. He often said to me that 'I was his hero' but in reality he was my hero. Every time he said this that's what my response in turn was and both us and not just him was left crying. No two people were ever so similar in likes, dislikes and mannerisms. Love you dad. I have a big hole in my heart that can never be fixed now that you are gone. You were and are my guiding light and now I have two angels hovering above me. R.I.P.
