Barbara McConnell

Robert Notting said "Some people make the world special just by being in it." That was indeed true about Barbara McConnell; wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. It is with sadness that we announce her passing at Kincardine District Hospital on Thursday, April 26th, 2012. Barb loved her family with a never-ending passion closely followed by her love of the Detroit Tigers and the Young and The Restless. To know Barb was to love her. She will be greatly missed by sons Michael (Sherry), Ron (Lori), and Patrick, grandchildren Jason McConnell, Kristi and Marty Ryan, Tim and Jaci Rowe, Scott Rowe and Nicole Grant, Becky and Andrew Myall, Clarke McConnell, Callie McConnell, Michael Soda; great grandchildren: Alora, Arwen, Lily Myall, Maggie and Abbey Rowe and Parker Rowe. She and her husband Tom are now looking down on all of us with a smile on their faces and a song in their hearts. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her dear friend Fannie Thompson whom she thought of as a sister, the Kincardine Ambulance Service, Kincardine's Pharmasave for their guidance and a special thank you to the staff of Kincardine District Hospital especially Dr. Mike Emond for the constant support, kindness and love. The family will receive friends at the WALTER D. KELLY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 1969 Wyandotte Street East, Windsor, on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 from 12 to 2 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. Donations in Barb’s memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
