Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, March 2, 2015. Anka was born April 16, 1924 in Brlog – Drenov Klanac in the former Yugoslavia. Reunited with her husband and best friend Dusan (1994) and youngest son Nikola (1999). She leaves behind her daughter Milka and husband Bogdan Chuk and son Milan Vezmar. Loving baba to Kelly Breault, Nadia and husband Anthony Moscardelli, Petar Chuk and wife Natasa, and Steven Vezmar. Endearing great-grandmother to Mitchell and Holly Rivard, Nikola Moscardelli, Matija and Mila Chuk. Cherished sister of Julka Budisavljevic (the late Zivko) of West Hill, ON and Petar (Mara) in Serbia. Anka was the eldest daughter of the late Staka (Zakula) and Ignjatija Lalic. Predeceased by brother Mihailo and sister-in-law Sentija and sister Milica and husband Ilija Vezmar of Serbia. Anka is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and kumovi in Ontario, the U.S. and Serbia. She will be sadly missed by her neighbours Helmut and Laura Grusas and Bob and Barbra Corchis. The family wishes to thank the caring and helpful staff at Extendicare Tecumseh, PSW's from St. Elizabeth especially Mary D, Nurse Kachan from Bayshore and Manuela P for the care she received at home. Visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519-254-3223) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to gather at Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church (1960 Meldrum Road) on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. The Very Rev. Fr. Milan Jovanovic officiating. Interment at Windsor Memorial Gardens. If you so desire in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian Singing Society “Gracanica” or the Serbian Heritage Museum.
