71 years. With great sadness and with family by his side, we announce the sudden passing of Andre on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. Wonderful husband of Margaret (Lajoie) Campeau. Dearly loved son of Blanche Campeau and the late Lawrence (Winnipeg). Favourite son-in-law of the late Irene and Rene Lajoie. Dear brother of Helen Wray (Edmonton), Ron and Rita Campeau (Waterdown), Lorraine and Don Code (Winnipeg). Dear brother-in-law of Fred and Margaret Lajoie (Thunder Bay), Larry and Nancy Lajoie (Wiarton), Gerry Lajoie and Bob and Dawna Lajoie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who enjoyed his wit and sense of humour. He will be sadly missed by good friends Gene and Val Lefebvre and Pat and Sharon Kistulinec. Andre was an employee of Valenite Modco until his retirement and enjoyed many lasting friendships with his golf buddies from work. Andre was well-known for his volunteer work with the environmental groups, Friends of Pike Creek and ERCA, also the Maidstone Bi-Centennial Museum, A Book of My Own Literacy Campaign, Treats and Treasures for Nick and the annual St. Anne's Pussy Willow Sale. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will take place at St. Anne's Church 12233 Tecumseh Rd E, Tecumseh on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the Memorial Mass at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or to It's in Your Jeans Prostate Cancer Campaign would be appreciated by the family.
