Nancy Jane Bentley

Nancy Jane Bentley, age 77, lifelong resident of Winder, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Brunell and Eugenia "Tootsie" Dunahoo Miller. Nancy was a secretary for Jerry Clack, CPA. She was a member of New Pentecost United Methodist Church. Nancy was a high achiever, dependable, strong-willed, well respected, caring and loving. She was dedicated to her family and was always positive and found the bright side of things. When not at work, she LOVED flowers and making floral arrangements. She LOVED decorating cakes and made the best pound cakes. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts - especially Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed painting and loved photography and she loved teaching her nieces and nephews how to garden and can the foods they grew.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Henry H. Bentley; and her siblings: Brenda Freeman and her husband Sam, Roger Miller, and Mike Miller and his wife Debbie. She is survived by siblings all of Winder: Larry Miller and his wife Judy, Wanda Anderson and her husband Howard, and Louisa Fincher and her husband David.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, on Saturday, September 30 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be in Smith Memory Chapel on Sunday, October 1, at 2:00 pm and she will be laid to rest in Barrow Memorial Gardens following the service.
