Michael Dewrell Tinsley

Michael Dewrell "Mike" Tinsley, age 61 of Winder, GA, passed away on January 31, 2024. Mike was born in Cleveland, TN and graduated from Bradley County High School. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy Seabee. He was a talented carpenter and owner of Tin Man Construction. He had also been the lead carpenter for the Atlanta Zoo. When not working, Mike loved riding his motorcycle and going fishing.

Mike is survived by his parents, Luther (Janice) Tinsley of Ocoee, TN and Glenda (Don) Sharpe of Niceville, FL. He is also survived by his children: Michael Tinsley of Clarkesville, TN, Kristin (Jordan) Tinsley-Moore of Atlanta, and Christopher Cabello of McDonough; Sharon Tinsley, his good friend and wife of 27 years and the mother of their children, Michael and Kristin; sister, Christina Stadfield of Eagle, CO; grandchildren: Celeste Moore, Payton Cabello, KaLeah Cabello, Parker Cabello, Kohen Cabello, and Drake Cabello; and his girlfriend, Hilary Ledford of Winder.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 5 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow in Smith Memory Chapel at 4:00 pm.
