Maree Beth Caywood

She was of the Christian faith and a member of Pathlight Ministries. Beth was an excellent example of the way Jesus lived, always putting others before herself. She was a native of Chicago, IL and a graduate of Flossmoor-Homewood High School and earned her Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from The University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Beth taught Physical Education for many years and has worked as an office manager for Mr. Marble for the last 22 years. She was known for the best hugs and loved the mountains, snow and Christmas.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Mary Caywood. She is survived by a special friend, Maureen Saunders of Winder; two sisters, Dr. KayDee Caywood, of CA and Dr. Ann Caywood of Peoria, AZ; two nephews, Kevin Cassado and Corey Cassado and many friends.

A celebration of Beth’s life will be held at 2PM Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Maureen Saunders and Fred and Marcella Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12PM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Fred Williams Ministry, 8919 Hwy 70, Blackville, SC 29817
