Jordan Elmer Lyon

Jordan Elmer Lyon, age 82, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, peacefully in his sleep. Mr. Lyon was the son of the late Harold and Minnie Mae Price Lyon of Wrightsville, Georgia.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020; 2:00pm at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia.

A native of Georgia, Mr. Lyon was a retired claims manager in the insurance industry. Elmer was a loving husband, wonderful father and an exceptional grandfather. Elmer was an avid golfer, enjoyed working in his garden and spending time outdoors. He loved the Lord and spent time in his word daily.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years; Joan Farmer Lyon; daughter; Jill Lyon Currie; daughter and son-in-law; Gina Lyon Rosen and Lance Rosen; brother; Harold Lyon, Jr. and Grandchildren; Jessica, Amanda, Presley, Jack and Erica.
