I've worked with Jim for many years here at Gwinnett County and always enjoyed talking with him.  He was always helpful, kind and professional.  My condolences to the family.

I want to express my sincere condolences to Christina and Newman family during this time. Prayers for all of you and fond memories shall be kept in your hears forever...

I was privileged to know Jim since we were children with our mom's as best friends. I will always remember his smile and laugh. 
Rest in Peace Jim as you have a new life in heaven with your mom and dad. 
They were so special to me and all three of you as well. 
We will miss him so  much. 

Prayers to Jim's family. I worked in one of the building the county maintained. Jim responded to several of our needs. He was always kind, courteous, and took care of whatever the issue was.  I know he will be missed. Rest in Peace Jim.

I met Mr. Newman in and around the office and halls at GJAC over the years . He just always had this ability to start a happy conversation. He left me with the impression that he was an openhearted sweet soul, always  willing to give a  kind "hello" to anyone he passed in the halls . He was a truly nice person and he was such a proud dad that it made you like him even more when he beamed with pride and joy over his daughter Christina's accomplishments . My sincere condolences to the Newman family.   

I worked with Jim for many years at Gwinnett County and count each year as a blessing.  I admired his skills, his sense of humor, and his love for family and country.  While doing projects around my house I ask myself “is this the way Jim would do it?”  I’m glad for our time together and will miss him.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My deepest condolences.  Jim was such an amazing man full of laughter, wisdom, and peace.  I consider myself blessed to call him my friend.  May you all feel God's peace during this difficult time.  And I pray that you always keep the memories of Jim present in your hearts and minds.  The love and care that he showed to everyone will be an enduring gift for us all.

What a loss! Jim was one of the best.  He was friendly and always helpful. He always brought two things to our office... his toolbelt and a smile. Both were inseparable. It also never ceased to amaze the many interests his mastered. From anything mechanical to writing books. One amazing man.  Jim, may you Rest in Peace.   You have left the world a better place. To Jim's family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I have worked at the county since 2006 and Jim was always so helpful, friendly and patient!  We had a recurring task he helped us with, and he was always so nice about it, even if he had just worked on it weeks or days before.  I remember his professionalism and concern to do the job right, but mainly I remember his smile and quiet, kind nature.  Even though I did not know him personally, he was a friendly, familiar face around the building.  Just know he made an impact on even the smallest of things in his day-to-day life.

Jim was a loyal and dedicated employee, and he was an important part of the Support Services team at Gwinnett County.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Jim did wonderful work at our court house in Lawrenceville, and I loved talking to him.  He was always so pleasant and had a smile ready every time I saw him.   My deepest sympathies to his family.

Christina, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet daddy. He was truly one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure to meet. He was extremely proud of you and I will never forget when you passed the academy and became an investigator in the Gwinnett DA's Office. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.  I went to High School with Jim, and remember him as a great guy.

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  I remember him from high school at Druid Hills many years ago.  He was a friendly and kind man and just an all around good guy.  My condolences to the family.
