Mrs. Lott was a devoted school teacher at Winder-Barrow High School for fifteen years. She was affectionately known to her students as "Mama Lott" where that nickname carried all throughout her life.
She attended both West Georgia College and The University of Georgia. Mrs. Lott was also a devoted homemaker. She was great at cooking, sewing, and crafting. Mrs. Lott was a member of Chapel Christian Church in Winder.
Mrs. Lott is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years; Mr. Hilliard Lloyd Lott of Hoschton, and parents, Jack and Grace Flanagan.
Mrs. Lott is survived by her daughters; Pamela "Denise" Galera of Hoschton, and Hilda (Tim) McDonald of Colbert, formerly of Winder; son, Hilliard "Hilly" Lloyd (Bonnie) Lott of Nicholson, sister, Jackie (Larry) Royster; the grandchildren that held a special place in Mrs. Jean's heart, Haley (Sam) Rogers of Molena, Dustin McDonald of Statesboro, Charlie (Sylvia) McDonald of Franklin, TN, and Judd Lott of Nicholson; four great-grandchildren, Avery and Charlotte Rogers and Lincoln and Olivia McDonald; and two nieces, Abby (Will) Riley of Hawaii and Lesley Royster of Dahlonega.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hoschton City Cemetery with Rev. Tim McDonald officiating. Burial will follow the service. The following gentlemen are honored as pall bearers; Dustin McDonald, Charlie McDonald, Judd Lott, Sam Rogers, Charles Flanagan, and Ralph Willis.
The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Mrs. Lott to the Chapel Christian Church at 776 Chapel Church Rd, Winder, GA 30680.
