I know this is late, but I wanted to say again how sorry I am for the loss of your love, Matt.  I am sure he is at peace and will watch over you and his whole family.  I know there really isn’t anything I can say to ease your pain, but just know that I am here for you if you need anything.   My thoughts will be with you and all your family.  You are family and that matters.

Even though I haven't known you as well as I wish I had,  you touched my heart. Thank you for being such a kind soul and for caring for others. I'm sad just knowing you are no longer among us. I am so terribly sorry for your loss.  I only wish there was something I can say to ease your pain but am comforted to hear that Matt knew Jesus and, because of that, trust that he is with him in Heaven.  I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this unimaginably painful time.

I have several memories of Matt; two stand out the brightest. 

The first,  Matt and I helped our grandparents, James and Virginia Reynolds move into their first home they truly owned as their own. We jointly got to witness the absolute joy and pride on Mawmaw's face when she stepped into her home as the owner for the first time. 

The second, Matt was always the driving force to keep us Reynolds cousins connected, where it be reunions in Chattanooga, surprise visits, our cousin messenger group chat, he made it happen. I'd say one of the funnier excursions ended up at my brother's house where I talked everyone into trying the Bean Boozle Challenge. We all laughed, cried, and got sick together with Matt telling me, "I love you, but don't ever ask me to do THAT again!" 

Matt, his love for God, his family, friends, and complete strangers will be missed. When you met Matt you were met with an open heart, open arms, and a huge bear hugging, heartwarming embrace. Cousin, our hearts are broken but we also rejoice for you are with the Lord at peace. I love you BIG Matt. We all will see you again.




Matt was a kind, funny, genuine and caring human being. If you were ever his friend, you were forever his friend. He would always find time to speak and made you feel special. It's rare to find such a good person in this world. I'm grateful to have known him.

He was a considerate   kind and loving soul


So very sorry for your loss, Matt was a good man and an even better friend. I met him many many moons ago through Atlanta Chat. May he rest in peace.
