James Preston Still

James Preston Still, 89 of Winder, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was a lifetime resident of Barrow County where he was a graduate of Statham High School and a member of Winder First Baptist Church. Preston served his country in the US Army, then worked many years in sales with Gold Kist Inc. before retiring. He was an avid sportsman who loved bowling, golfing, hunting, and fishing.

Preston was predeceased by his parents, Olin Preston and Celia Estelle Wilburn Still, and stepmother Thelma Mobley Still. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Reba Allgood Still of Winder; his daughter, Mary Joyce Climie (Wade) of Dayton, OH; and three grandchildren: Samantha, Lydia, and Robby Climie.

A Visitation is to be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 6PM until 8PM at Smith Funeral home, Winder, GA. Funeral services will be at 2PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
