Helen was born in Atlanta, Georgia, spent part of her childhood in Japan and France before returning to Atlanta. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother always tending to family first. She was also a lover of all animals frequently taking in strays and providing them with a good home.
She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Samuel Whitehead. She is survived by her two sons Wes Windsor of Kennesaw and Scott Windsor of Winder; her two brothers A.A. “Ted” Bolton of Commerce and John Bolton of Dacula. She was the proud and loving grandmother of two granddaughters: Siraya and Logan of Charleston, South Carolina; and three great grandchildren: Nova, Selah and Koah.
