Gail Martin

Ms. Martin will be best remembered by her family and friends as a lady with a big heart and loved everybody. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

Ms. Martin is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Hicks and Lilly Hicks; brothers, Frankie, Fred, Gene, and Johnny Hicks; sisters, Darlean Carter, Marty Murphy, and Edna Hartness.

Ms. Martin is survived by her son, Damon (Erica) Martin of Bethlehem; daughters, Candace (Jeff) Layson of Winder and Misty (Larry) Flemming of Carnesville; sisters, Charlotte Reynolds, Patricia Gouch, and Rachel Brooks; eight grandchildren, Mason Carter, Emmalee Layson, Kylee Layson, Nathan Martin, Natlynn Martin, Kaylynn Flemming, Larry Flemming Jr, and Nicholas Flemming; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Ms. Gail Martin will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The family respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family as a love offering.
