Mrs. Akins was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Akins. She was the daughter of the late O. R. Kellum and Drew Willie Smith Kellum. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Nell was retired from Barrow Manufacturing in Winder, GA., and she was a member of Midway Christian Church.
Mrs. Akins is survived by her sons: James R. (Vicky) Akins of Statham, Jeff Akins of Thailand, and Marty Akins of Statham.
A graveside service was held at Barrow Memorial Gardens with Re. Hal Tapp officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
