Doris Laverne Henson, age 86, passed away on August 27, 2021. Ms. Henson was the daughter of the late Lucious and Ola Bell Montgomery. Ms. Henson was preceded in death by her husband John Lee Henson and her son Danny Lee Henson.
Funeral services will be held at Smith Memory Chapel on Sunday August 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children: Carolyn Burgess, Denise Martin, and Pamela McElhannon; sisters: Margaret Wood, Sue Mobley, Gail Cannon, and Rhonda Friend; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, has charge of arrangements.
