Mr Dennis Keith Lemon

Dennis Keith Lemon, age 58 of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016.He was a native of Summerville, SC. He was of the Christian Faith and a member of The Murray Methodist AME Church in Summerville, SC. Dennis worked for Weg Electric Motors as a shipping clerk. He was also a chef and worked for several restaurants in the Atlanta area including The Cupbard in Marietta, Waffle House and many others. Dennis was a competition worthy BBQ chef and placed 2nd in his last two competitions. He was loved by many and lit up a room everywhere he went. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, SSG Isaac Lemon. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Odette Lee Lemon of Bethlehem, GA; his mother Dorothy Mood Lemon of Summerville, SC; four daughters, Toi and Enderia Oliver of Summerville, Kenricka Roberts of Bethlehem and Gabriel Whyte of Bethlehem; five brothers, Isaac Jerome “Mike” Lemon of Summerville, Donald T. Lemon of Summerville, Glen C. Lemon of Marietta, Stephen D. Lemon of Summerville and Gene E. Lemon of Summerville; five sisters, Peggy R. Hill of Atlanta, Lynne D. Whestell of Pooler, GA, Stephanie D. Howard of Summerville, Debbie Sacleux of Orlando, FL and Patti Gaston of Monks Corner, SC. 4 grandchildren also survive. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA with Rev. Richard Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until funeral hour on Saturday. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Summerville, SC at 1:00 PM at Emanuel Baptist Church, 106 Boone Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The family would like to give thanks for all the loving prayers and kindness expressed by their friends and loved ones. Memorial donations may be made to Nudge Ministries, www.nudgeministries.org. The family will have a repass at their residence immediately following the service.
