Mr. Christopher Brian Thompson, age 48, of Winder, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He was a volunteer fireman with the Barrow County Fire Department. He was also a dedicated Eagle Scout.
Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jeff H. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Marilyn Saltz Thompson, and sister Pamela (Stephen) Murray.
The Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Thompson will be held on Saturday morning, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Smith Memory Chapel. Burial will follow the service at the Smith family cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening, September 15, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
