Betty Joyce Phillips

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Phillips; parents, Robert and Edna Barnes; brothers, Jack Barnes and Johnny Barnes; and sisters, Dot Mobley and Diane Church.

Betty is survived by her children: Michael Phillips of Watkinsville, GA, Dennis Phillips of Statham, GA, and Pat Hardegree of Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren: Edwin (Amber) Hardegree of Bethlehem, GA, Greg (Wendy) Hardegree of Jefferson, GA, Josh Phillips of Statham, GA, Jamee (Carrie) Phillips of Oglethorpe County, GA, Cale Phillips of Watkinsville, GA and Danah (Bryan) Bufford of Watkinsville, GA; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister Geneva Smith of Winder, GA.

A funeral service for Betty will be held in Smith Memory Chapel on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will be held immediately prior to the service from noon until 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
